Putting together a new rifle, ctr in a bravo in 6.5, and would like to know what rings would be good and hopefully around the $100 mark. Everyone is talking spuhr but those are just way out of my range. I have heard good things about seekins precision, are those pretty good? Or any other option for a good tough ring. Weight is not a concern.

Seekins or Aadmount. SWFA should have both and they have discount codes often. I got my last pair of 30mm low Aadmounts for right around $110 shipped from them.

Go in the PX, there us almost always top tier rings for less than $90 shipped.

Burris Signature Zee rings are very good rings if you dont need a ring that will survive a helo drop.

The zee rings are pretty slim. I use the XTR signature. You could drop them from a hello and they would be fine!

Thanks guys! I am not sure I what width or height yet as I have yet to pick a scope. These builds would be a lot easier if I guy didn’t have to have a budget!

Burris XTR. In the last few decades I’ve used every brand you can name. We really are living in an alternative universe these days. Never in my wildest dreams would I get near a Burris or Bushnell product. Now I have Burris rings on all my rifles and Bushnell scopes on most. Are they better than others, can’t say. What I can say is the cost is less than that of the class leaders with no negitives noted. Also, the shims for can’t adjustment worried me till I spent a whole day at the range playing with it. Outstanding option.

I literally can’t find one reason to buy anything else. The inserts are rock solid and extremely useful. And bonus they will never leave ring marks on a scope.

Honestly I can't find a reason to purchase anything between the price points of the Burris rings (the Zee rings are good low profile for hunting, the XTR rings are good if you want something bombproof) and something like a Spuhr mount. There isn't really a product in between those two price points that really is an improvement over the Burris or does everything a Spuhr mount can.

The only thing I can think of is the Hawkin's Precision rings with the integrated bubble level in them, but I personally prefer a level to be mounted on the scope itself. From what I've heard Hawkins is actually the producer of the significantly more expensive Steiner rings and the only difference is the color of the bubble level.

I use Leupold Mark 4 rings, but that's because I picked them up from a prize table around the same time I was upgrading from a 30mm tube scope to a 34mm tube scope. They're solid rings and I like them well enough so I just haven't had reason to upgrade or change unless I feel like swapping to a Spuhr later on.
