    Hi,

    Well the Department of State has finally publicly admitted that they are actively negotiating a Peace Treaty with the Taliban in Afghanistan....

    Latest round of talks was just held a couple days ago in Doha....so I am wondering if this is where Pelosi was trying to get herself and rest of her cronies to and that is why Trump pulled the aircraft??

    The terms should be dictated...

    A. Did you enjoy the last 18 years?
    B. Harbor terrorists that harm us in any way, through however many degrees of Kevin Bacon, every one of your tents will be targeted for at least one cruise missile. B52s will rain hell on you to the extent we actually may replace those airframes finally from overuse.
    C. You get nothing from us except the sure knowledge that if you fuck with us again you may become the third place nukes have been used.

    Well day 4 of a scheduled 2 day meeting. Everyone must really like the accommodations in Doha.

    Just stay tuned for what benefits Gryphon Partners and Khalilzad Associates gets from any kind of deal made since the USA Official brokering the deal (Zalmay Khalilzad) is the President of that "consulting" company while he holds the position of US Special Representative for Afghan Reconciliation.

    Shit, those Unertls have long been busted apart in attempts to use the lens for some RPG sights and crap...

    But if they ever release import restrictions on certain firearms then I will bring in enough PKMs, PPSh-41, AKM, M70s, etc to put Amazon out of business.

    I thought it was illegal to negotiate if you are not the President or directed by the President . Isn't it the Executive Office that makes Foreign Policy ? And why do I choose to be pissed when every action by the vast majority of these asshole is counter to the Constitution and America . As expected .

    One could have kind of predicted this outcome before the war even started.
    Pretty much the same cycle of history in Afghanistan for like 4000 years

    I'm assuming what the "negotiation" is actually is more like the Taliban seeing how much money / stuff they can demand in exchange for laying low for a year while we get to claim "Mission Accomplished" and gracefully pull out while saving face.
    I'm assuming we also want them to not go on a huge slaughter rampage till we have been out for at least a couple months & the news cycle has moved on. Then we won't mind if they go slaughter all those who helped us since the public's attention on it will long be gone & on to some new celebrity mishap.

    Perhaps we could consider doing the right thing for once and help those Afghan natives that helped us or were on our side to find safe homes in another country before the inevitable slaughter of collaborators takes place... (but judging from how we treat the Kurds every time we don't need them any more, I have my doubts).

    Well joint announcement expected Saturday (As long as nothing changes lol).

    Expect to see complete timeline in regards to full USA Troop removal but still tied in as part of coalition for the Peace Process (Aka member of the paying Team).

    Ironically in the meantime, President Ashraf Ghani’s Special Envoy Umer Daudzai led a delegation to China on Friday to build regional consensus on the Afghan peace process.

    In his visit to Beijing, Daudzai met with Deng Xijun, China’s Special Envoy for Afghanistan and Pakistan, where they discussed regional consensus on the Afghan peace process and the role of China in the process.

    So basically we are to remove all troops but provide financial aide for the peace process while China comes in and takes the mineral wealth, etc....
    Sounds about right....

    By definition the Taliban is a tribal entity and is therefore segmented.

    How do you negotiate for terms with an entity, where all of the parts that comprise it don't even agree/listen/respect most of the other parts? For a lot, Taliban actually loosly translates to them as 'I am against the Western invaders' and they are not in a legit Taliban 'unit' that is within some form of hierarchical direction.

    It's the reason we've been fighting the flavor of the month local terrorist groups.

    So how exactly would that even fucking work?

    Well the Chinese have actually done a spectacularly effective job of gouging out the mineral resources of Tibet with no thought of the downstream consequences of their actions.
    Well actually,they may have considered it when it was brought to their attention & shrugged their shoulders & said tough shit.
    But Tibet’s not Afghanistan.
    Christ,everyone’s had a go at Afghanistan why not let the Chinese have a turn at at taking large bites out of a shit sandwich.
