Nemo vs Falkon 300 win mag?

I’ve had a Falkor 308 for about a year, it’s been flawless. Half MOA or less. Can’t speak for the Petra.
I did however pickup a Nemo Recon a few weeks ago. Put a few hundred rounds through it this weekend. Not a problem with five different kinds of ammo I tried. It was stacking rounds on top of each other at the three hundred mark. Definitely sub-MOA, possibly half or less. It’s pretty impressive. I only have 500 yards in my backyard, but was effortlessly consistent. Look forward to pushing further.
My Nemo is a ‘17 model from the Kalispell plant. I have read others had problems. This one seems figured out.

In my experience with both companies I wouldn’t hesitate to try either. I wanted side charge, the Falkor has dust cover and rear charge if that’s what your looking for. My Nemo has a Bartlein barrel, Falkor has the Dracos barrel which is claimed to have a longer life, which would be a big thing for the 300. I’d be interested to know if that’s true, I doubt I’ll ever shoot the one out on my 308.

Thx for your info... yep if I could find one for sale I’d like to pick one up. This year shut down seems to have caused folks to buy them all up 🤬
There’s one used Petra and several Omens on Gunbroker. Kinda wish I had the Watchman with the 24” PR barrel, but I want to run a suppressor so the 18” was appealing. It definitely leaves something to desire compared to my 24” bolt gun, though.

If you don’t mind me asking what does it leave to be desired compared to your bolt rifle ? I’ve been looking at these for a while too and there aren’t too many sources to look at for video/written reviews.

thanks!

Velocity. I haven’t measured the muzzle velocity, but I hear the difference at my steel targets. The 18” barrel is nice for running a can, but 24” will take full advantage of the cartridge.

Gotcha that makes sense, how is the precision of the Nemo Long range? How’s the overall shooting experience?
I haven’t had the chance to really try it out, but coupled with a 7-35 ATACR, it’s absolute child’s play at 500 yards. I’m shooting 1/2-3/4 MOA with it off a bipod and I’m not really very good myself. I’ve only tried FGMM 190 grain and HSM 210 bergers. It’s consistent enough with both, I can hit my 6” gong at 300 with both without adjusting my zero. The FGMM is my preference, it didn’t seem quite as tight group wise, but it fed more reliably. The HSM was minutely more accurate, but took more gas to cycle the gun and it was choking on rounds upon chambering the first round. I suspect that the shape of the Berger bullet has something to do with that.

Sitting behind the scope is a joy. It doesn’t seem to recoil anymore than my .308, but it’s definitely heavier. If you intend to go hiking up a mountain with this rifle, you had better be in shape.

Any pics of the setup? Curious what the 7-35 looks like on it.

Currently it’s in a 1.5 Steiner with 20 MOA. It’s getting a spuhr eventually, but currently all my money is going towards a new Harley motor.
