New 22mag barrel advice

I'm looking to get a new barrel for my Marlin mag!

I considering either Green Mountain or Hi-Desertdog.

I know I am going to have to modify the barrel to mount either way I go. I'm just looking to get some feedback on performance of these manufacturers..

I have heard more about Green Mountain with great reviews. See if RFC gives any leads. I rarely hear of Hi-Desertdog

From doing some research over on the 10/22 forums at RFC, those guys prefer the Green Mountain. Hard to beat for the price they say. Some are comparing it to Shilen, but at lower costs. Some guys talked about accuracy issues of their Hi desertdog barrels, but the reviews I saw were from a while ago. Some say those issues were cleared up and others are still dead set on Green Mountain, but then there are the crew that won't go with anything other than Shilen or Valqaurtsen or even Kidd. But like I said, these are reviews from guys with 10/22, not a Marlin .22Mag. Take it for what it is worth, just trying to throw some thoughts your way.
