New 25 Yard SH Match - Beginning In December 2009

Here is a new short range 25 yard SH Internet match to begin in December 2009, and will run monthly. This is an addition to our long range 100 and 200 yard .22LR paper & metal matches.

These matches are for monthly bragging rights, and to help all of us learn from one another. Enjoy!

There will be a 50 yard match as well that will begin in December. I will post the Rules & COF within the next day or so.

25 Yard - 4 Position Shooting - .22LR

a. Match - 25Y-4P - (25 yards) "paper" Target TQ 3/5, A12
...Top Left Bull - 5 Shots Offhand (Sling Only)
...Top Riight Bull - 5 Shots Kneeling (Sling Only)
...Center Bull - 5 Shots Setting (Sling Only)
...Low Left Bull - 5 Shots Prone (Sling Only)
...Low Right Bull - 5 Shots Prone (May be shot using - Sling & Bipod)

Match Rules;

1. 25 shots total - 5 shots on/at each Bull (Score Between Each 5 Shot Relay)
2. Four (4) Sight Classes - Scope - Laser - Aperture - Open Iron
3. A Sling may be used when shooting each Bull.
4. A Sling & Bipod may be used "ONLY" when shooting the Low Right Bull
5. You may enter "One" score only for each sight class if you so choose
6. Target(s) may be obtained from;

joe is also piecing together a 50 yard, probably the same rules at 50. looks like a very good training exercize. should show up any problems in form at the different positions.

Does the target you're using have the same dimensions as the downloadable one here?

I don't know? You will have to run one and see. The TQ-3/5 is an all 7 Ring Black Bull that measures 3 7/8" across. There are no 5 & 6 scoring rings on this target.

Go to the link I posted above where you can obtain TQ-3/5 Targets at a reasonable price. I think they are something like $8.32 per 100 and about $12.00 shipping. That's 500 target bulls for about .04 cents each, of which you will need 5 each time for this 25 Yard SH Match. The overall target comes with 5 target bulls (3-7/8") on it; top left, top right, center, low left, low right.
