NEW 6XC BUILD.....Surgeon, JP, Bartlein,etc.

Well a good friend of mine started building rifles. Just for family and friends so far. He is a hell of a machinist...been doing it for a living for about 20 years now. And he has always dabbled in gunsmithing.

So I gathered all the pieces for a 1000 yard paper puncher and then turned it all over to him. And with me looking over his shoulder and being a gofer...this is the end result. Caliber is 6XC.

I decided on the JP chassis cause I like to try different things for my rifles. Something worth mentioning for those of you who might want to use one. The 591 is NOT a drop in option for this chassis. There is some machining that is required for it to work. Mainly the bolt release needs to be cut into the chassis as does the bolt handle area. Plus if you use a Jewell trigger the area for the safety needs to be milled out a bit. These last two things must be done with a AICS chassis as well.
To me it is no big deal...this is a custom build and I do not swap stocks on my rifles.

Please ignore the BAT action and JP brake...changed my mind for those items.

It will be wearing a NF scope....just have to save up some more $$ first.

So far I like the ergonomics of the stock. It is very solid and feels pretty much like being behind a AR.
