I bought this rifle about 2 years ago. It was a 700 SPS-V .308. I paid about $480 out the door for it, bought an HS stock on ebay for around $200, old style trigger set at 2.5 pounds from tac-ops for $100, cut to 21", re-crowned and threaded for $60, steel bedded for cost of materials $20, YHM flash hider for $50 (it's a working rifle), complete build cost $910 and so far it holds sub 1/2 MOA out to 570 yards!
Additionally it has a 20 MOA badger base (bedded), Mark 4 medium steel rings, NF NXS 3.5-15x50 with NP-R1, Harris 3-9 swivel, eagle cheek pad, TIS sling. It's gonna get a paint job, ARD, and Butler Creek flip ups soon.

The rifle.

Re: 700 build

I forgot to mention, my dope for 325 was 5.25 MOA and my dope for 570 was 14 MOA. Had about 10 mph gusty winds to buck as well.
