New AR owner

Well I have owned alot of firearms over the years, but this is my first AR. It's an R15 VTR SS, I just ordered everything but the optics to finish it up so I can get some bullets down range on it. If I like it I am thinking that I will order a 450 upper for it so that I can deer hunt with it.

I ordered a Hogue rubberized grip, Burris XTR Tactical High rings, and a Redfield Revolution 4-12x40 Accu Range scope. I will be ready for shooting some varmints by the end of the week.

I have eight AR's of different caliber's and barrel lengths - it is an addiction but a good one.

Ive seen people poo-poo on the new remington's, but i like the look and feel of them. They are clean, simple, and seem well made. Good buy!

I think I got a good deal on it, it is unfired and I bought it from an individual so no sales tax or transfer fees for $1000.

Welcome to the AR club Kevin. You'll love the ability to choose different uppers in various calibers to expand your shooting options. I currently have .300 Blackout and AR-22 uppers. I think a 5.7x28 might be the next one for me.

I am planning on having my .450 coated od green like the receiver. I think my first black one will be when I buy an AR-10.

Well I got all my stuff in today and put on. Hopefully I can shoot it on Saturday before I head out of town for vacation for a week.
