Want an ar to leave at my vacation home. Prefer (this time) to just buy vs build. Don't want to spend jp money on this one. 14.5 + pin&weld. Needs to be very reliable and sub moa (yes I do that with ar10s and 15s). Lighter weight.

I haven't looked around in a while. What fills the bill? Geissele, armalite, Daniel defense, m&p, etc? Thanks.

I'm more of a piston guy but you are welcome to try out my pws and pof uppers to see if they are your jam. Pm me if you wanna check em out at pntc sometime.

Thanks!! I do have a lwrc m6a3 piston back home. Just looking for a lighter ar that works and is accurate (just because...) and is less than a jp, ifff all that is possible...

Redlion above posted BCM and they are indeed quality. When we had em as.classroom guns, though, they rarely bested 2moa even with good 77gr mk262.

My pws mk114 mod2m is not that much different than a DI of equivalent barrel contour and configuration. The POF (gen4) is lighter than the early gens but still a bit heavier than a DI.

Right now if I were not doing SS, I'd go with a Geissele barrel over a DD or FN (Hodge, Noveske n4, etc).
Hodge/Icon/SOLGW Drive lock or Hodge SLock rail
Pick your G$ flavor trigger and run it with a Vltor A5H2/Green Springco.

It's hard to turn down G$ stuff on sale now, but if I had to pick a single gun right now, It'd basically be a Sons MK1 with a Geissele CHF Hbar stuck in it

+1 for the Geissele on sale at Primary Arms

Im also a big fan of the solgw m89 drive lock rails. I have 2 solgw and one icon and I can confirm they are identical if anyone is curious. With that in mind you can get the icon flared billet upper for almost $100 less than the sons broadsword 89 billet upper that goes with the m89/L89 rails

A true sub moa semi auto will not cost any less than a jp

an aggregate of all groups shot

With that said, if you were to loosen your accuracy requirements slightly, geissele auper duty is a very solid option

Geissele is the easy button if they are on sale. BCM is good too.

Almost anything you get will be better than LWRC. I have used those professionally for years (unfortunately) and you literally couldn't give me one for free. The qc and metallurgy quality is below paki gun shop standards.

I am 100% a Geissele rail and trigger fan boy, but ADM makes incredible receivers and uses Criterion barrels, Geissele G2S triggers (not sure where they fall, I only use the SDE) and Radian Raptor CH and Radian Talon safeties. I’ve heard Geissele barrels are also excellent, but I’ve never used one. ADM gives a great LE discount as does PWS (I’ve been meaning to grab one of their Mod 2 uppers for a while) and with the Geissele sales I don’t think you can really go wrong between those 3.
Also… the Geissele DDC anodizing is beautiful as is ADMs OD Green anodizing.

Geissele + ADM for the win!!!

I would say loosen up your sub moa requirement to a 2 moa requirement. Asking sub moa out of an ar15 is asking a lot even with quality ammo. Go bcm elw barrel if you want a lighter rifle, go geissele if you want to get as close to consistent moa accuracy as possible . I didnt see that you stated anything about using a suppressor, although if you do want to use a suppressor, my experience has been that geissele is gassed better for suppressor use.

Ended up with this but $200 less at eurooptic, thanks all. This is way too nice to sit out at my vacation place so will bring another one out, and the geissele will be in my 2 gun rotation! Added another vortex razor 1-6 which included mount and throw ring etc at a great price.

Per above, no suppressor on gas guns, being a lefty.
I had a strong feeling if you grabbed a Geissele or ADM that it would find its way into your more prized collection and something else may be kicked out. Great choice. That’s a beautiful rifle!!
