New Barrel for a Savage 110 BA - 300 WM

Looking to buy my first replacement barrel for Savage 110 BA - 300 WM and I know almost nothing about how to go about it other than having researched the best barrel makers (Shilen, Krieger, Broughton). Do I send my gun in or can I just call the maker and tell them the gun and they research the specs to make the barrel? Seems logical I'll have to have it re-blueprinted too once it's installed(?). Thanks.

That depends. You can send it in or do it yourself. You can get a blank or have it chambered already. Don’t understand how you can blueprint a rifle with a barrel on it.

Do some more googling, it’s a really common and thoroughly covered topic. In short you can get it anyway you want it.
