I don't like how the scope tension and the tension placed on the scope rail pivot around scope diameter, and rail dimensions... In theory if everything is perfect yeah, but are they?? I'll stick with what works.
It looks with this, 'split-ring clamp design', if I want to take the Scope off my Rail to check the base screws . It will loose the rings ability to holding my Scope secure ?
And also looks not being able to just simply Remove/swap the Scope and Rings to another Pic. Rail on another rifle without loosing the Scope being level and secure because the Rings loose there hold on the scope when simply taken off the Scope Base ?
.
I don't have the need to continue to remove my scope from the rail, so the design poses no problem to me. I have used the Warne split rings as well, but ended up going with the EGW's.
I went that route due to the Warne's peak being to high and blocking the view of my scope level. The EGW's are lower in profile, and they are nice and secure with excellent finish.
