Evening,

New member from Central Montana. Work full time in finance and ranching in North Central Montana. I also run a home based FFL, I handle mostly Weatherby, Bergara, Athlon Optics and everything in between.

Grew up hunting deer and elk since i could walk. Have always been a massive fan of the belted weatherby cartridge. My biggest dilemma when i go hunt or shoot is which one! I usually grab a 6.5-300 wby, 270 wby or 300 wby. Took my 340 to Africa June 2017 and it performed flawlessly. Although my two favorites is my German Mark V .257 WBY or my Mark V custom with a target barrel .375 H&H.

I sell lots of Bergara and I cannot show up to their Montana shooting events with a Weatherby, so my newest toy is a Bergara HMR Pro 6MM Creedmoor topped with EGW 20moa base & rings. Optics is a Athlon Ares ETR 4.5x30x56. Should be a fun setup.

Thanks again!

Skogen

PS. I also cook quite a bit, so be ready for some food porn with great BBQ or some home raised USDA prime Montana beef!

Welcome fellow Rocky Mountain man, although I'm further South in Colorado. How do you like that HMR Pro?

The HMR pro is a great turn key gun. Have not shot this one yet as I am waiting on my Ares ETR to show up. About 10 more days. Just in time for a speed goat and the last hurrah on some prairie dogs.

I own a 6.5 Creedmoor B-14 HMR and a .300 Win Mag Timber I bought when Bergara first started offering them so I know about the quality. Let me know how you like it once you shoot it.
