New shooter and member here from Cincinnati, OH. Excited to get some expert opinions from a community of like minded enthusiasts at large. I'm very new to the long range precision scene and I only recently purchased a Gen II Ruger Precision Rifle in 6.5CM. Optics is a Vortex Crossfire II 6-24x50 AO. My primary interest in joining this forum is to get good advice on proper cleaning, maintenance and care to extend gun and barrel life and performance. I've already read many posts here and elsewhere that highlight the divergence in opinion when it comes to the regimen, tools, equipment, routine, and technique when it comes to proper upkeep of a precision rifle. I have specific questions but I'm wondering which thread should I post these in? Gunsmithing or bolt action rifle section?
