Hello everyone, new to the site and new to the sport! like every new person I have a lot to learn. I just bought a RPR and a Vortex razor Gen II. I can't wait until the next range day. I am not able to make it to the range as much as I would like. Is there any tips to help me improve when I am at home? I appreciate any help!

welcome, where in So Cal are you located? there are some clubs and ranges that might be of interest

There are a couple of nice books if you're so inclined.

The proprietor of this forum has recently published this one and it's quite good: https://www.amazon.com/Precision-Ri...rds=long+range+shooting&qid=1597005065&sr=8-7

I've also read the prior edition of this book which was also good: https://www.amazon.com/Long-Range-P...ds=long+range+shooting&qid=1597005065&sr=8-14

as was this one: https://www.amazon.com/Long-Range-S...VHEG9QHGV4T&psc=1&refRID=J2F9JMNCWVHEG9QHGV4T

I am in La Jolla just above San Diego. I was trying to check out some new ranges and look at competitions but this covid thing is making it difficult to find anything open.

I appreciate the book recommendation! I will check them out!

Pala range has targets up to 875 yards. http://range.palatribe.com
Camp Pendleton has long range open to civilians, can't recall length/distance. https://www.mccscp.com/shoot/

There's a club called Santa Margarita and they have practice and long range shooting...you'll find them on practiscore.com
