Re: new guy here
Like Mike said, most all ranges have various types of matches. Some have fixed distances with combination of paper and steel and a time limit. Others such as Rayners have steel plates at varying distances and sizes from 200 to 1000 yards. Thunder Valley has the headhunter match with small head size targets at varying distances with a time limit. Then they have the long range match where you are partnered up and have to spot for the other guy at targets at varying distances out to and past 1000 yards. Then the sniper matches at both of these ranges where you have all types of scenarios where you have to make shots from varying positions, locations, conditions and distances with some that the time counts in the score.
Best thing is find ranges close to you, they usually will tell what the course of fire will be. That makes it interesting when matches are different and challenging.
