This is my new Sako 85 Grey Wolf in .223 with a ASE UTRA Jet Z CQB moderator on the end of a 20" barrel 1 in 12.

This is one of the nicest factory rifles that i have ever held, the finishing is brilliant and the bolt is smooth as silk, All metal parts and Sub MOA guarantee.
The Grey laminate stock is nicely figured and the mod balances well considering.

The ASE Jet z is a brilliant mod with 28db reduction at 500grams but £290 cost!

total for both was £1490 = $2043 (without our VAT)

This will be my night hunting rig and im putting a D760 Gen 3 Select alpha on it this week for foxing.

These are not the easiest things to get hold of in England with our laws - I have no idea how it shoots since this club i joined has a 100m range and i went to use it and they said i have to pass an accuracy test with a 22lr first and then be supervised by a range officer at all times!!!! ( who is never there ) - i was like WTF?

So i said fuck ya then ill go take it down the farm and zero it there!

This is the shit we have to put up over here! count yourselves lucky in the states! (seriously thinking of emigrating)

ill try get some targets up soon as i get to shoot it

Re: New Hunting Rig

There it was Fx1,

your little rifle should shoot in the 1/4-2 inch bracket with factory rounds,

have you got some Sako ammo? It will shoot great with the 65-77 grain class of bullets.

The best shooting ammo that I have yet to see was some loads with berger FB bullets,

I belive it was there 55 grain bullet that shot lights out and really did a number on the foxes.

Yes the ASE UTRA cans are great.

Re: New Hunting Rig

i have got some Hornady Vmax 55gr and some plinking PPU 55gr SP

i can get some sako bullets and probably will try various factory till i can get some money together for reloading gear.

MOA will be fine for me for a while the whole accuracy thing is overrated since i have never seen anyone shoot submoa in field conditions.

i might add a bipod for some stability in prone shooting but i really dont want the weight.

the weather is really shitty here today but i might drag myself out in it because im desperate to let off a few rounds
