Bringing this back from the grave. Any news on these yet? Pretty exciting for those of us in California as this model is not on the ban list. Finally a legal Kac lower will be attainable.
What's the purpose for that mount being so ungodly high? I don't think a chin-weld would be sufficient to line up with that.
That mount was designed for using night vision. The high co-witness mounts are too low for using helmet mounted mono/binos easily so they made one higher specifically for it. I actually like the height of this mount even for day time shooting. For quick, dynamic and positional shooting, the higher head position works quite well.
