I just got my rifle back from the gunsmith. It is a Remington 700 Police in 300winmag. I had the action glass bedded. Leupold dual dove tails installed. Leupold Mark 4 M5 ERT 4.5-15x50 with TMR reticle installed. Bore sighted. and Badger bolt knob installed. A lot of people have been asking about the new M5 turrets so I thought I would post a pic of it installed on a rifle. I like the scope A LOT. If you have any questions about it fire away.

Re: New Leupold Mark 4 M5 ERT on a 700P: Pics

So far I am very happy with the dual dove tails setup. It is rock solid. There is so much internal travel inside the scope that I dont think I will ever need a 20moa base in order to hit targets well past 1000yrds. Now if I end up with a problem with eye relief, I may change to a base / ring setup. But so far, I am very happy with the setup on the rifle.

Im still researching the canting indicators, so Im not sure which way ill go in that regard.

At the range the scope is fantastic. It is crystal clear, and the reticle is nice and crisp. It is as clear, if not more clear, than my friends zeiss. The clicks are smooth and crisp, and the scope tracks great. Im very happy with the scope. With factory 168grain barnes triple shocks im shooting under 1 moa. With my handloads...even tighter.

Hey Jig Stick

We have the same tastes. I bought a 700P about 8 years ago. I had to re-barrel cause mine wouldn't shoot. New shilen match select and now it shoots well with 180 smk's.

Just bought the same scope but have not mounted it yet. I have been thinking about seekins rings and mounts because I would like to swap my scope between the 300 and a 22-250.

Be interested to hear from you when you start stretching that outfit a bit.

Nice rifle and set up.
