Finally finished the re-birth project on my NEF Handi-Rifle in .45-70 Govt. I was given this rifle for my high school graduation in 1998 and have taken more game with it than any other rifle I own. It is probably the cheapest rifle in my collection but has more history and scalps than all the others combined. Thought it proper to do a ground-up restoration so it can keep on doing its thing...
I had the barrel cut and crowned to 16.25", upgraded to a steel trigger guard, added the Choate stock, and did a trigger job on it. Then took it down all the way and I Cerakote'd it in a combo of OD Green, BAE Green, and Sniper Grey.
Glass next week and then range day!
