Getting tired of running the AK's and moving over to long range shooting

LOL.

Done a little bit of long range shooting over the years Take the family down to Arena a couple times a year to get out to farther distances. The wife loves shooting the Barrett.

Longest distance we have at our range a few miles from the house is 419 but Arena goes out to 2,200 although I haven't been past 1200

Have gotten several of the AKs out to 621 there- ACOG really helps in that regard. A good rifle and optic will do more than most people think.

Wouldn't say I'm good enough for matches. Best group was about 3/4 MOA at 520 yards back in the day.

I suck at matches too. But I'll shoot a match and take notes on how I sucked at the stage. It's also a good place to talk to people, try bags, look through glass, and ask advice.

Haven't been to a match in almost 30 years and am currently trying to find someplace relatively close to shoot a long gun. But who knows, we might be on the same squad at some point.
