Hey Guys,

My name is Matt Lewis and I've used the forum for years now for research and information and finally decided to join. I have a special ops background and I am looking to get into PRS here in the south. I just started doing USPSA competitions at a local club last year and thought I'd also start getting into precision rifle as a nice balance. I have been an avid gun enthusiast for a long time now but I'm looking to get into the fun of competing. I think it's awesome how forums like this exist where guys just help each other out to learn more, says a lot about the gun community. Looking forward to learning more and hopefully contributing. Thanks!

Matt,

what part of TN are you in? Middle TN has a few options. strategic edge has monthly match (non-PRS) as does K&M in Finger TN. They just had a match in Ardmore, which in on the AL border on I65 and Rock Castle is just north by Bowling Green.

If you like bullseye, and want to hone your ammo/wind calls we have monthly highpower/F class matches in Henry Co and at AEDC. First Henry Co match is tomorrow. 3 x600 .

Chris

Hey Chris, I'm about 20 mins north of Nashville. I'm actually a member at strategic edge and plan on doing a PRS match at K&M in October if I can get my rifle built by this summer. What does AEDC stand for? I didn't even know there was another range out there in Henry Co. I'll have to try to make it out there sometime. Thanks for the info!

AEDC is the Air Force base in Tullahoma. We shoot 600/1000 matches on the national guard range. Henry County Gun Club has a decent website, it's probably a little closer to you than AEDC. They go to 600 yards. You can still get on post and shoot range 16. You have to register all the firearms you plan on bringing with the provost. marshal. I haven't done this, as SE is closer to me.

If you're active or former Army and you don't have a builder yet, I can put you in touch with my Smith. He's 24 years group, and an excellent local Smith.

Gotcha. There really are a lot of options around here. I appreciate the info. I haven't shot on range 16 since I've been out but I might try to head up there sometime this summer.

I've been looking for a good local smith so I would gladly take you up on that, I'm also former 5th group. I know Southern Precision out there in Cookeville is also suppose to be pretty good.
