I've been trying to utilize relatively inexpensive NV monoculars as sighting equipment for several months now and have come up with a pretty good system for those (which includes me) on a budget.

The beauty of the thing besides being cheap is that you can remove the monocular from the rifle by turning one knurled knob and return the rifle to normal daytime use while still using the NV as a handheld monocular.
