can the range finder simply be paired to my kestrel? all i wanted was a range indicated in lens, and could pair (or even old school cable) to kestrel.

I can see where hunters might really like the tracking assistant, but it seems really short on ballistic features unless they just don't mention the capabilities.

From an ROI stand point i think they could have left off all that development cost and just done a simple link to existing ballistics stuff / tools and made a higher return. but maybe a lot of people who buy the high end gear just to say they have it need help finding the animals they gut shoot.

A lot of the areas I hunt that Tracking Assist would be $$$. Cross canyon, clear cuts and heavy timber. A 500yd shot might take well over a hour to hike.
