Looks like a Labradar killer. No idea about price or availability but it's has been already announced to be tested next week in Denmark by the ELR guys over there. Looks like a winner, at least on paper. Will see.

Looks interesting, curious not just on price but whether they will allow export outside the EU?

Apparently and yet to be confirmed the price is far from being affordable for a regular human being :D:cool:

That’s if a us importer actually brings them in
Are you sure?

I'm pretty sure goods are sold ex VAT at retail when bought from outside the EU, like through E commerce.

And if you buy something while over there, you can claim a VAT refund when you leave.

I’ve been charged VAt multiple times when buying from euro suppliers. Which is why I don’t do it unless absolutely necessary

“Is it heavy?” Because if it’s heavy it’s expensive. I have a bad feeling its going to be fuckclobbering expensive. Or whatever the German translation is for ’fuckclobbering’.

first info says price very close to 60.000 euro’s….. difficult will be a labradar killer.
I hope dirts info are wrong.

~15k€ with option of lease instead of purchase. However even at that "preis" only possible customers might be some military units that have tech savy procurment officers (aka maybe one or two in europe) the rest of us mere mortals will simply skip this bullshit device as for our purpose labradar or magneto are completely enough.

$17K USD is not targeted at the weekend shooter that's for sure. Maybe what they'll do is eventually release a "Civilian" version? Understandable that you need to recoup your R&D dollars, so maybe in a few years a scaled down version. If that does turn out to be the price then the LabRadar folks can sleep soundly tonight :)

The EVO is an very interesting device and yes, the ColdBore Range crew has aquired one, thanks to a VERY substantial contribution from one of our sponsors

In fact, the EVO is not comparable to the LabRadar, as it is a professional device and is designed to assist in the development of ballistic data on small to medium sized projectiles, just as the Infinition and Weibel radar systems ( we had both of them on test, as the ONLY private / civilian company... ).

The ColdBore Range crew will be doing a lot of testing in the forthcoming weekend, both on known projectiles plus some new monolithic designs and some of the German shooters will bring their experimental bullets to get them tested.

The ColdBore Range can be found here https://www.coldborerange.dk/ and on FB https://www.facebook.com/ColdBoreRangeDK/

I bought an Oehler 89 last month. $3k and it gives actual BC for your rifle.

From the source: (their sales engineer)
Due to the modular design of its features and functions the price ranges from 15.000 to 25.000€ depending on module choices and if the expert software is purchased.

This was in one of the attachments:

Pretty bad ass system on paper.

Can you tell us what happened during the test?

Yes: The system turned out to be VERY sensitive and could deliver some very detailed reports on the bullets used.
But, the sensitivity turned out to be a disadvantage, as every movement of grass and trees on the range, was detected and thus, interferred the reports.
The tech-guy from the company was quite baffled and had to admit, that this was the first time his system was been tested on a open range ( it was the same problem, when the Weibel system was tested ) and he had some issues in the software, to solve.

But overall, the system seems promising and more real-life testing are in the planning.

Thanks for the report, please keep us updated. Talking price, do you think uch a price tag is somewhat justified?

I really can't tell.
One thing to be considered, is that the EVO is NOT a standard consumer product, but is made for the professional segment and the pricetag are corresponding this fact.
But for the ELR folks, this is a incredible tool and all data obtained during the test, turned out to be valid out to 2400 meters.
Due to the weather, it was not possible ( very misty ) to shoot the two mile target, this day.
