New Remington 700 7mm RM

I picked up my new Remington 700 7mm RM a few days ago. About to go the range on sunday. I find the bolt action is a little bit tight. Is it a good idea to just sit on my couch while watching a movie (it will be unloaded) and just cycle the bolt a few hundred times to wear it in a bit, or should I just wait to go fire 40-60 rounds down range on sunday? Just looking for some input here.

My bolt was like that too. What I did is clean it, put some gun lube on and practice dry fire with it (or just cycle the bolt while watching tv like you said)

Try cleaning and a little Rem Oil or the like. That seems to help.
