No you will need to machine the stock just like the Badger or the Surgeon. The inlet on these is a little easier since the area around the mag has a straight side allowing a simpler mill cut then the compound angle cut for the Badger. This is also thicker in the death area.

Re: New Remington 700 SA DBM

Randy is correct as far as the stock goes. Thanks for the input.

After considering the options about making the DBM work effectively with the Accurate mag WSM, or modified AICS mag for WSM. I have decided to offer 2 different models for the M700 short action. The only difference will be that the magazine well will be in a slightly different location on the WSM version.

To clarify how these will work:

Standard DBM: The magazine will fit and function with no modifications to the action. The stock needs to be inlet for this design. The pillars are provided so the magazine will feed rounds properly.

DBM WSM: The magazine well has been moved to the rear .100". This positions the magazine to feed the extended WSM rounds without milling the front feed ramp of the action. The modification to the action is a mill op at the rear of the feed port. This is done exactly like the modification required for a Wyatt’s extended box conversion. The bolt stop is also modified in like fashion so the bolt can move farther back to pick up the rim of the case.

For those that want to use modified magazines (or AW magazines) with standard bolt face cartridges to utilize a longer OAL, order the WSM version.

Also, for those that want the .223 magazines with the DBM setup, I will take your order now, and you can take advantage of the introductory price. I will either ship the DBM without a magazine, or ship it with the .223 magazine when they become available. Your choice.

Shipping will be $10.00 flat rate USPS priority.
