New rifle search

Avid hunter and sportsman. I currently own a Ruger M77 30-06
and Remington 700 7mm.

I guess you could say I'm looking for the best/(good) "tactical" long-range rifle for under $1500.

Preferably .308 and semi-auto. But if there is something else you guys would recommend, I'm all for it.

Welcome. Is that $1500 just for the rifle? I would recommend staying with a bolt gun. Would consider the Remy 700 series either in PSS, XCR. Very accurate out of the box.

If semi.......used Armalite AR10T. Might be difficuly to find one in your price range though.

DPMS LR308 is a great rifle.

+1 on the DPMS 308. I have a SASS and a 308 AP4. I use the AP4 for hunting as it is a small but powerful package. You can get one for under 1200 if you look hard.
