I am looking hard at the new 5" Sig 210 Target. I get that it's a Bastard pistol to the Swiss owners, but this feels like a wonderfully made piece. Does anyone here own, or have experience with the new pistol?

I am waffling between one of these and the Beretta M9A3. They occupy different space, but both seem like outstanding pistols. Eventually, I'll own both, but I am soliciting advice from end users.

I've had an original Swiss made 210 and the German Legend. I just picked up the new 210 Target the other day and I have to say that I am very impressed. The slide to frame fit is as nice as the others, as is the barrel lock up and trigger. For $1450 it's a no brainier! The grip is basically a copy of the Nill grip and the front f/o sight is nice too.

This is what I was looking for. I see they changed the way the barrel locks up as well as the feed ramp. Sig touts that it's not only cheaper to produce but less picky with ammo. I was hoping the Sig Lawyers didn't f- it up. Seems we may have a winner here in spite of US tort.

Thank you, I really appreciate the feedback.

I was looking at one, it looked nice, felt nice in the hand and had a good feel for the fit & finish.
I however decided to wait for the Elite target one since I love longer barrels on everything.

they are coming out with a 4" barrel unit as well. If I like the 5", maybe I'll get the trifecta? If I didn't blow a wad on V-day yesterday I'd probably have the pistol today.

Have wanted a 210 for about 3-4 years but I have to say the CZ Target II had me doubting my choice. I shoot more steel these days and the double stack mag is certainly an advantage. If the palm swell and grip were a little different I may have bought the CZ. The slide was as smooth, maybe even better. Had a great trigger too.

Put 250 rounds through it today. I shoot my G19 and STI better. I can't see the front sight after 1-2 shots. I think I need to swap the front out for a solid black or white front.

On a good note, it ran 5 brands, 2 weights just fine.

600 rounds through this pistol now. Zero issues. It's really come alive with 124gr Winchester. I'm no bullseye shooter so I'm not really taking advantage of this pistol but at this point I can shoot groups at 15 yards like I can my Glocks at 7 yards. If this thing was a 13-15 round mag it would be the tits.

American made and sig are two terms u want to avoid at all costs.

I have a 938 (edc) 2 x 238s, a 320 Sub compact and a P210. They're all good pistols. The 938 and 238s need to be clean to run 100%. After 100-150 rounds every once in a while they'll fail to go fully onto battery. Clean and lubed and they are great.

That said, they don't run like my Glocks but they do run as good or better than my STI.

Good pistols don't even need to be clean to run 100% much less malfunction every 100rnds. Thanks for helping to prove my point. Unless your sig says Germany or Switzerland on the side, it's garbage.
