I am trying to part with the money to buy a mcmillan a5 and was wondering if it needs to be bedded or what you guys recomend. Its a savage 12 300 wsm gen 3. Should I just get the action bedded, whole thing bedded or will it come ready to just screw on like the savage stock does?
Thanks
Ubet

Re: New stock bedding?

If you are going to spend the money on the McMillan spend the money on the bedding. Bedding will help you get the most out of the rifle.

Guess it would be best to have them bed it? Action only and leave barrel free floating, or have the barrel bedded to?

What are the pros and cons of bedding the barrel to?
