New stock for savage 11 Vt

I had a previous thread about a savage 11 Vt not being so accurate. Ok another thing i was going to try is getting a new stock for it. I was looking on boydes and all i could find was a stock that had a bottom bolt release but a channel not wide enough for the barrel or a top bolt release that was meant for the bull barrel which one would be easier to do widen the channel or change go bottom bolt release?
