Got my son a Mossberg .308 Super Bantam ATR for deer season. Gun runs really well and is quite accurate for a $350 rifle. However, I need a new stock for it. The tupperware stock is flexy and likes contact the barrel without much effort.

I would like to get some ideas on either getting a new stock or maybe bedding this one. Saw one of these stocks before where someone bedded in a carbon fiber arrow shaft down the middle of the stock for stiffness. Any ideas?

What is he using the rifle for? Is it a hunting rifle or a target rifle? There aren't many options as far as new, and the "bedding" an arrow shaft will be a marginal improvement.

If its a hunting rifle, I'd just leave it as is. I bet its accurate enough for hunting out of the box.
