Hi all. I am looking into purchasing this stock for my Marlin 917vr .17hmr:

http://www.rifle-stocks.com/tactical.htm

(Black tactical with 3" forearm)

It's not very clear on their site how much work and finishing will actually have to be done when you receive it. Has anyone worked with these type of stocks before? Will I need some more work done or can I just drop my rig in and go? Any advice would be great.

Thats Richard micro fit. If you are in a hurry don't be. Alot of work needed to finish stock. If you are not a wood worker don't go near them.

stockystocks.com has some that are finished and ready to drop your stuff in and go, but they only have the tactical style stock I was looking at for the 1022. They have some interesting Boyd's Evolution stocks, but I haven't quite made up my mind on the style of those yet.
