I bought my nightforce F1 off the classifieds here and it was a great experience so I figured I'd post some pics of what it went on.

This is my tac ops tango that came in about a week and a half ago and I've been thrilled with it. Mike is a wonderful guy to deal with and I'm in the process of getting a titanium 338 can from him for my desert tactical SRS. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and a more accurate rifle. Unfortunately I don't quite live up to it's potential...yet!

This was done with my nightforce ffp F1

Re: New Tac Ops Tango w/ F1

Tac Ops guns are an absolute work of art and are way more accurate than I am. I saved and saved and sent Mike my PSS for his rebuild work and I can"t say enough about him or his work. With work slow for me I have been selling everything else that I own and holding on to my .308. I am sure your rifle will continue to bring smiles to your face like mine does everytime I take her out.

Re: New Tac Ops Tango w/ F1

It's a .308 with a 20" barrel. The suppressor is a tac ops and it's a piece of art as well. Leupold rings and base with williams bottom metal. All coated birdsong inside and out. I didn't take pictures but mike even goes through the trouble to time the hex screws on the rifle.

I don't know how he managed to pull off a .088 with a 15x ffp scope but he was as excited to build me a rifle that shot that well as I was.

Congrats on your new Tac Ops rifle! Having one in hand is truly the only way to appreciate how very fine these masterpieces are.

And you got a TAC .30 suppressor for it, plus you're getting a Ti .338 suppressor too? <span style="font-style: italic">Damn, I've got major suppressor envy!</span>

All Tac Ops rifles are guaranteed to shoot .25 MOA or better using FGMM ammo, which means that .25 MOA is the worst that any Tac Ops rifle will shoot before leaving the Tac Ops shop, period. It is not uncommon for Tac Ops rifles to shoot in the ".0"s'.

The guarantee is for the rifle, and shows what the rifle will do when in the hands of a skilled shooter using Federal Gold Medal Match ammo, as Tac Ops chambers are cut specifically for FGMM.

A few years ago, certain posters were incorrectly saying that <span style="font-style: italic">"trued is trued"</span>, <span style="font-style: italic">"square is square"</span>, <span style="font-style: italic">"all gunsmithing procedures are the same"</span>, and that <span style="font-style: italic">"Tac Ops .25 MOA guarantee is BS"</span>. In response to this Mike Rescigno posted <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">Tactical Operations Response</span></span>. In this thread Tac Ops explains in detail some of the machining procedures they perform and how and why they do it that way.

It is an informative post that will help the layman (such as myself) understand certain machining aspects of a Tac Ops rifle, and why - taken as a whole, <span style="font-style: italic">"how they make such accurate rifles?.?.?..?.??.."</span>.

I can't wait to get the Ti for my SRS. Mike doesn't mind giving you whatever serial number you want and even times the cans to have the markings dead level when looking at it from the side. The class 3a thread is also very nice, absolutely no slop at all when screwing it on. I've had problems with my aac and jarvis barrel on my pistol to which the reply was just use teflon tape. I don't think you could even fit a small strand of teflon tape between the threads on this. Birdsong also makes my home duracoat jobs look quite pathetic.

Mike Miller had given me some loads for the 155gr scenars in his tac ops so hopefully I can get enough tested and loaded up to last me over thanksgiving. I feel kinda like a teenager behind the wheel of a ferrari right now...

What was the wait time for this one, if you don't mind me asking??</div></div>

Wait time on this one was a little over the usual because of some extenuating circumstances out of mike's control. He kept me updated the whole way though so I have no complaints. Average wait time is a little over a year I think.

Re: New Tac Ops Tango w/ F1

This rifle is better than can be expected and the suppressor is sublime in regards to the minimal impact of accuracy. SpaceGod has himself a rifle that is other-wordly for sure. It gets the most attention at the range and can turn grown men into giddy fools at the prospect of firing it (I speak from experience).

Well done SG on your rifle!
