Re: New to AICS stocks-are the skins normally glued on

Never saw any glue either... Then again, I've only had 2 stocks (1.5 and 2.0).

Glue would make me angry. I would try to get your money back if that wasn't disclosed at the time of sale.

LOL glued on? got a pic? Maybe it was bedded and the bedding adhered the outers to it.

Re: New to AICS stocks-are the skins normally glued on

It had a yellow glue (epoxy ?) everywhere that the skins touched the chassis . The skins peeled right off , but I had to use a razor-scraper and lacquer-thinner to clean the glue off . That , and stripping the paint , took around five hours . No , I won't be gluing the back on . Thanks , all ...

Re: New to AICS stocks-are the skins normally glued on

You should have taken some pics, I wonder why someone would do that........

Re: New to AICS stocks-are the skins normally glued on

Perhaps supposedly some of the skins didn't fit quite so well? That was posted on here some time ago. Something to do w/ worn out molds.
