Hello everyone. Pa guy here. Just finished my first .458 socom ar build. I bought 100 starline cases, some Hornady 300 grain 458 #4500 balls and some 350 grain Hornady 458 #4502 balls. I’m using Winchester large pistol primers. When I loaded a couple yesterday I noticed at what the Lyman book says it should be an oal of 2.145 I was getting seated at the crimp line 2.08. I have been looking high and low for load data. I’m using Hodgdon 4198 powder and lee 458 dies. Does anyone out here have any recommendations on load data. I loaded the 300 grain balls with 41 grains of h4198. Thanks for reading and please don’t hesitate good or bad your experience with reloading this bullet. I have also become really good at cutting down 5.56 rounds and resizing then for the Wilson Combat 300 Ham’r that I have. For that I am running cci 350 primers and 26 grains of A1680.
