Photos New to me Colt Python

Re: New to me Colt Python

kind of a side note, but can anyone tell my why many people always put something in front of the trigger when taking photos? i see this most prevalently in photos on gunbroker. is there some kind of law that necessitates this when selling a firearm?
thanks
zinny

Re: New to me Colt Python

Looks to me like they do it, so that the pistol is not flat on its side. Kinda makes it a little 3d-ish. Better picture, in other words. But thats just my opinion.

As lostangel already said its to prop the pistol up without leaning it against anything. Taking pics of a gun flat on a table/floor usually ends up looking pretty boring.

Re: New to me Colt Python

I'm not really a revolver fan never have been either but there is something about the colt python that strikes me in a warm spot. I would love to have a blued one some day. I really think colt should start making these again.
