Hello all, I'm Mark. I live in South Mississippi and have spent most of my 43 years enjoying firearms, however, I've never really gotten into long range precision shooting until recently. I'm wanting to put together a rifle scope combo that's is way more accurate than I am so that I have plenty of room to grow as a shooter. I gave myself a $1500 budget ( I know that's not a lot in this game) to buy a rifle and scope. I've been doing a lot of research (including reading posts on here) currently I'm thinking bergara b14 hmr 6.5 creedmoor or tikka T3X ctr 6.5 creedmoor (I found one with a 24" barrel for $831) I'm hoping for input from some of the gurus on here.

Hi Mark my name is John and l just into the long range shooting about 2 months ago. I shot a few different rifles before I decided on one. I bought a MPA production rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor and love it. I know ti is a little over what you want to spend but it is a well made and very accurate gun. I like shooting so well I built a range out to 1400 yards. The rest of my targets will be in next week. Good luck with your build and if you get my way your welcome to come shoot with me.

Thank's for the welcome guys. I think my biggest obstacle so far has been trying to learn about scopes lol. As I mentioned in my post I grew up shooting and I've always leaned toward the sharp shooting side of it all. I try to constantly push my boundaries and attempt the most difficult shots. However I never really got into scopes because I felt like it was cheating when shooting at anything 200-300 yards and closer and never really pushed out past that. Now I want to go beyond that and will need the aide of a scope. My local range goes up to 600 yards, but I will be buying enough land in the next couple of years to set up a 1,000 yard range for myself.
