Hey guys, was show this site by a buddy of mine. I'm getting back into guns as of late and before becoming a member I read a lot of good info on here. I've been a member on some car forums so I look forward to getting to know some of the members here.

Have read the forums for yrs and finally thought I should get involved since my 12 yr old son is getting into night shooting and AR15's. The brat has better equipment than I do.

Welcome to the Hide. Nice to see another Buckeye on here. We always try to tell anyone close enough for the drive that there are two nice long range shooting ranges here in Ohio. Both are near the Cambridge/Zanesville area. The one I frequent quite often for tweaking new guns and also the shooting the matches is Rayners Range ( http://www.raynersrange.com/ ) which has steel targets from 234 to 1000 yards. Cost is $10.00 for the entire day use of the range. The other is Thunder Valley Precision ( http://thundervalleyprecision.com/ ) which has targets out to 1 mile and for some matches beyond 2000 yards. The cost is $20.00 for members and $30.00 for non members for the day. They have some type of a match nearly every weekend.

I also visit a few of the car forums and between the shooting and cars it does a good job of keeping me broke. :)

Heck yeh, lots of Buckeyes. I'm Central/South East, I just happened to drive by Thundervalley hauling some scrap iron last week. I need to get out there and tag some steel. It'd be real cool, when I get my gun finished, to get my learn on and have some coaching on long distance doping and the details of long range shooting...we ought to meet up sometime at Rayners or TV. I've never been to either.
