Greetings! Figured it was about time I join since I'm finally able to start back into long range shooting. Don't have much of a long range setup just yet. I'm be working with a Savage 110 270 for now until I decide on what I'll be picking up. I also recently moved just north of LA from out of state. Hopefully some of us will be crossing paths in the future!

Welcome! Prepare to get bent over with gas prices, insane vehicle registration fees (going up again), and tax increases!!

Angeles Shooting Range has steel out to 600 and a bitchin' reloading store on site.

I was about to register my truck and failed my smog test because my converter doesn't have the right number on it. I'll have to check that place out. Appreciate it!

Welcome to California.

Just north of LA is California Tactical Acadamey. They have a public range out to 1000 yds according to their website. I haven't sot it but the rest of the facility is very nice, https://californiatacticalacademy.com/cta-public-range/

Nice, I was hoping there'd be a few places around here with a 1000 yds. Have to give that place a look. Although I doubt my Savage is a grand gun. Haha

Soon as you get out of town there are plenty of places to shoot. People don't always clean up after themselves, but beyond that, there is area in CA to shoot at long ranges.

Hey what's up. I'm new to the forum as well, but not to CA. Pala Indian Reservation is north of San Diego and has 1k ranges. I shoot USPSA pistol matches up there. Just getting into PRS and Gas gun this year. GL.

Not gonna lie I'm stoked to here how many options I'm gonna have around here for long range.

Don't be shy.. a few hours North on Highway Five is our club. We have Monthly PRS matches and are hosting another PRS Regional Qualifier in September. Keep an eye out of out UKD team match in November and out NRL22 matches.

It is a low key vib and the monthy stuff you'll find super friendly and perfect for a first match.. The best part is, the centerfire stuff is generally a hiking match so it is kinda unique.

The link abouve was from last Months match - this month the NRL22 is next Saturday and the PRS Reginoal match Sunday..

Welcome to the Hide and CA -- Jim T

Awesome. Good luck on your match! What are you using for it?

On a side note, are there any gun shops around antelope valley that have a good selection of bases and scope rings?
I am using my RPR 6.5CM, I have dope and experience on it.

My new build doesn't have a scope mounted or dope yet.
