Yeah yeah I know it's the rimfire section and all, but I figured i'd share with my buddies here anyway. Just picked up a brand new Howa 1500 in .223 Rem. It's a pretty nice gun. It's got a rubber over-molded stock, 4+1 cap, came with the rail and rings for $380. The only thing I added was the Bushnell Banner 10X scope and the Harris bipod. It'll pretty much stay just like it is except I will most likely be adding a better scope. Probably the same one that's on the 17. As soon as it's not supposed to storm I'll be able to go sight it in.

try hornady express 40 gr vmax through it.

if you like them and reload, i have a recipe that matches the stuff from the box....and the stuff from the box is SWEET.

Hey guys. So I shot my first ever groups with this rifle. My sighting in was a little crazy, but once I felt how the rifle liked to be handled it was sweeeeeeeeet. I was also shooting prone (I do much better BR). This was with cheap @ss silver bear 62 gr. HP's. I'm definitely satisfied with my first time out.

Right on. I bet those groups tighten up when you get some decent ammo in her.

I reccommend Honardys new 53grain Vmax superformance. WOW!!!! high bc for the bullet weight. got some speed to it too. Some amazing stuff.

^ Saw those when I was down in FL. Think that's gonna be what I feed her next. The 50 yard is kinda crappy, but I was still getting used to it. I'm pleased with the 100 yard though. This is my first time shooting for groups with a centerfire. I'm used to just blowing things up lol.
