New Versa Pod w/ Interchangeable feet reviews

I've read all about Harris, Atlas, AI and Rock Creek but I can't find any reviews on Versa Pod. I was looking at this one, as well as the Atlas, which has all 3 different foot pegs and buying the Versa Pod AI adapter as well since I just purchased an AICS 2.0 that comes with the front block. I know most here are Atlas fans as well as Harris fans so is there something that just makes Versa Pod undesirable? Cost wise its right in the middle of the two.

Bought one, forget the height, its either the shortest or next up, its ok. Its not tight, and doesn't have a solid feel to it, nice for tracking movers, takes some skill to be steady on stationary targets. Its not a rifle stand, it may let your rifle flop over if you're not holding it, and if its heavy enough it may hit the ground. I only have limited experience with a Harris other than this Versa Pod, I don't really have a preference for either.

I have had my hands on one of the Versa Pods and was by far from impressed. Good luck trying to load it and you could never get the pan ( left to right ) to tighten down enough to keep the rifle from leaning over to the point of allmost falling when left alone. I have a Harris 6-9 swivle /notched with pod claws on my AICS 1.5 . The pod claws are allways out anytime you try to order them nowadays so thats something ot consider. Kasey makes good stuff and he is great to work with. I also think he is working on making optional spike feet for his pods. I myself have not seen the Rock Creek in person, but I am not seeing anything on thier web-site that shows it will attach to your spigot, they are only rail mounted. I am sure that there is a bottom rail made some where that will either attach to the underside of the chassis itself or to the underside of the spigot. If not aluminum is easy to work with.

Well then Versa Pod it isn't. Good information guys, thank you. I have a Harris HBR already that I use on my AR so I was contemplating getting a step up in class with one of the others. One thing I noticed is that my Harris isn't even level with both legs extended. I noticed this when I was installing my last scope with a leveler. Since it extends to 9" I didn't know if should get another bipod with a higher stance height to have different choices. Once again, thanks for the help.

Edit: I forgot about the GG&G which I will take a look at since a lot here seem to like it as well. I'm new to the .308 game so I figure just get what's best (within reason of course) so that I don't have to buy something else down the line.

I would vote for giving Atlas a try.

Play with it in the house and if you think you're not going to like then sell it here at a loss of only $5(shipping in flat rate box).

If you think you will like it then take it outside and put it to the test, you still won't lose more than $20 if you decide to sell it.

Safe bet is that you will keep it.

They make claw style feet if you need them and spikes are in the works from Accu-shot. Hide member HSSS already makes spikes for them also.

The Atlas has a lot of adjustment, legs fold both ways, can be used at a 45* setting, you can get a spigot, it tilts/pans/swivels/cants, loads well and is built to last with great customer service. The <span style="text-decoration: underline">only</span> downside <span style="text-decoration: underline">I</span> have seen to it is that it takes about one extra second to deploy both legs compared to the Rock Creek or Harris, <span style="text-decoration: underline">not a huge deal for me</span>. Kasey has already mentioned working on a quick deploy model also.

^^^Thats what I was thinking. I also want to put the front block to use since its there, its an OCD thing. I'll give the Atlas a go and I'm sure I'll love it.

Worst case scenario is you lose $5-$20. They sell on here for retail in 30 minutes or less.

Someone also makes a bipod that looks like the Rock Creek that uses a spigot. I can't remember who it is but they are over $300 if I'm thinking right.
