Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
A friend of mine brought over a brand new Walthers sp22m1 and wanted to learn to shoot. We took the gun out of the box and went through it. I noticed that the gun was already cocked because of the red cocking indicator however the hammer safety was engaged (the little safety in the magazine release). We went through the manual and the instructions said the gun had to be decocked before the hammer lock could be disengaged. I followed all the instruction in the manual trying to decock the gun so the hammer lock could be disengaged with no luck. I searched the Walthers forums and couldn't find any solutions? Other than sending it back, has anyone had any experience with something like this in the past. Any suggestion would be appreciated.
