Newbie Bipod help

I have a Savage Stealth in .308. Where exactly do I attach a bipod to it? And do I need any attachments to secure it? Is there a certain type of bipod I will need? What exactly am I looking for when buying one? Thanks for helping a newbie out.

And when you do get the bipod, attach it so that the feet fold forward on your rifle.

Look into grabbing a Pod loc for the Harris bipod as well. It will help you easily tighten up the swivel feature much easier than the stock set up
