Just wanted to take a few moments and introduce myself. I’m from NC and have been a gun lover for years. Only recently got into long range shooting. I also recently got back into reloading. I’ve added a few pics of my 700 .223 as well as my impact/700 6mm creedmoor below for a little gun porn.

What part of the state are you in? My "home" range in Ellerbe (near Rockingham) is having a sniper comp this weekend.

I’m in Dunn. Not too far from you. What yardage is it out there? I’ve never shot anytime of comp and the longest yardage I can get around here is 550. I would love to stretch the legs on the 6mm at some point.

No, I'm going to work the gate Saturday morning, then spectate after that. I love that range, and everyone I've met there has been great, but unfortunately I have neither the ability nor the equipment to compete. I like to hang out around the good shooters, hoping some wears off on me. Are you going?

They have already registered all the shooting teams for the comp, but thought if you were looking for something to do, this might be an option. You ought to check this place out sometime. They have steel out to 1 mile as of now, a few other ranges that run from 300 to 1200 meters, with plans to build many more on the property.

absolutely. It's free, but you'll have to park at the range office, and there will be folks giving rides on side by sides out to the ranges. I'm supposed to work the gate into the range, so maybe I'll see you. Ask for JT. Hope you can make it, weather permitting.
