Hello all, I've lurked around the hide for a while and figured I should join. I have no experience in the tactical shooting scene and very little experience in long range shooting, but am intrigued by it/them and I am intent on improving my marksmanship skills.

As a side note:
I would appreciate any links to good reads on the various aspects of long range ballistics, (e.g. spin-drift, wind-drift, projectile stability, properties of drag, atmospheric interference etc. . .), and properties of propellents, (e.g. chemical makeup, burn characteristics of powders, chamber pressure curves, and that sort of thing). As a physics and engineering major, this is the type of stuff I like to read so please don't mistake this as an attempt at sounding "in the know" on my part. I simply want to learn.

Thanks in advance to anyone who points me toward good info on the subject.
