Suppressors newbie to supressors, Gemtech Quicksand ????

I'm a longtime shooter and now I have the itch to own a suppressor.
I'm looking for a light QD type suppressor for my M-14's that uses a flash hider type QD mount.
I'll probably use the suppressor on my bolt rifle also, it's a .300 SAUM.
Right now I'm leaning heavily toward the Gemtech Qicksand as it seems to fit my needs and it's made by some other Idaho boys.
What do you guys think? Any experience with the Quicksand? Any other supressor suggestions?

I was told by a well known suppressor dealer that you should stay away from the Gemtech Quicksand and look more into the YHM Ti Phantom. More bang for your buck.
