Thats a great looking gun. What is that on the handle pieces? Looks rough like sandpaper?

They are ergo grips, in coyote brown.
This is my 1st 1911 build. thanks for the comments.

I built one that looks just like that in .40, using a caspian wide-body.... in my dreams.
