NF 20 MOA rail screw specs

I need scope base screws to mount a NF 20 MOA rail to my 700 short action. What lengths do I buy? 6-48x__?

It depends...

Nightforce offers bases with both 8-40 screws, as well as 6-48, depending on what your receiver is setup to use. If your talking about factory, unmodified R700 receiver that hasn't been modified for the larger base screws, then the 6-48s are what you need.

I assume when I go to the hardware store they'll have 6-48 screws in different lengths, i.e. 6-48x1/4" or something like that. What length do I need?
