Rifle Scopes NF 7-35x56 (Mil-C;C578) question

I just took possession today of the scope above and discovered when turning on illumination (either red or green) digits are not visible (only minuscule traces of them on red). Is this how is supposed to be? My Vortez Razor gen II shows the numbers so clearly. Just wondering.

I have a 5-25 MIL-C and the numbers aren't illuminated at all.

Hey everyone,

I am answering my own question here....just in case anyone else is wondering. Called NightForce, and like any other time their response was prompt and professional. No, the numbers are not meant/designed to be lit on the reticle when checked upon a dark background.
