I was wondering how you guys used your SFP NP-R1 for holdovers-unders at different powers. Mine is the 3.5-15 with each hash mark being 1moa on elevation and 2moa on wind at 15 power. Now, you would think they would have a 7.5X mark that would easily double each mark from 1-2 and 2-4, Correct?? I'm just wondering if anyone has come-up with a simple formula for changing magnifications. Thanks

Re: NF NP-R1 Retical

Yes, put it on 7.5 and double it. Put it on 3.25 and quadruple it.

To check it, duct tape a tape measure onto a target at 95.5 yards (95.5 is 1/1.047) and check to see that it's right. Each moa mark should be 1" at 15 magnifacation, 2" at 7.5 magnification and 4" at 3.25 magnification. OOPS, you don't go down to 3.25! Well then take
(4) * (3.25)/(3.5) for 3.7 instead but heck, wouldn't 4 be close enough? (Or maybe you can just consider them mils! Mils is 3.44).
Play around with it, you'll get it.
